A mini face lift is sometimes referred to a as weekend face lift since the procedure is very easy to do and there is little recovery time needed. Generally, as the name implies, the mini face lift uses the newest type of endoscopic techniques to allow a plastic surgeon to look under the skin from a distant and hidden small incision spot. Since there is not a large incision and only the tissue that is being repositioned is moved or disturbed, the healing time and the associated redness, swelling or puffiness is dramatically reduced. Typically a mini face lift targets very specific areas of the face that are what is troublesome to the patient, plus any associated repositioning that needs to be done to keep the face in balance and aesthetic harmony. Since it is designed to be less comprehensive than the traditional full face lift procedure it is often used for mild to moderate sagging or signs of aging and is not typically used for very significant loss of shape or aging.
